The bag is about as small as heavy bags get. Make no mistake, it's definitely a heavy bag. I had to use all my strength to hang it. The bag isn't plastic. It's more like denim. Very tough. Stitching seems like it may fail in a few years, but maybe not.
The hardware for hanging seems appropriate. I hang mine from a 2x10 ceiling joist about a foot away from my main I beam support for the house. It uses 4 thick lag screws. When I use it, my wife says the whole house shakes and it hasn't fallen. I think she's exaggerating. I'm not Mike Tyson. I don't secure the bottom, so it can swing a couple of feet at the bottom.
The jump rope is plastic junk.
The gloves are a joke. I don't know how many oz they are, but they feel like 4 oz. There's almost no padding. You can use them, but your knuckles may be sore after 5 or so minutes of hard punching. I suggest getting real gloves like 12 oz or heavier. The wraps are pretty standard.
I wanted something inexpensive and not too heavy and I got it. The kids love kicking and punching it.

Excellent all-inclusive set for the price. Easy install, took me just 4 minutes
Great for someone like me who is just using it for fun but doesnt
want to invest a lot of money.
