Shock Wave White Head Guard

This is a light-weight head guard covered in synthetic leather - NOT the "coated vinyl" that cracks and peels after a couple months.

Made of medium density foam so it isn't as heavy or stiff as some head guards, but it still has decent protection from blows to the face or head. This doesn?t use the soft sponge-like foam that offers no protection at all.

The face opening is wide enough to prevent any claustrophobic feelings (a common complaint from kids). The design of the face covering also works to minimize any limits to your peripheral vision.

It has a lace top for adjusting the height of the padding and a laced back so the head diameter can be easily adjusted. This head guard also has padding BENEATH the rear lacing. Not only does this keep your hair from getting in the laces, it also protects the very back of your head from blows or falls.

The sides have a gap for your ears, but instead of a "cup" - that always rubs on your ears, this is one piece on the inside. We find it WAY more comfortable.

It also has an adjustable chin strap with a DOUBLE Velcro tab - both for comfort and to keep it secure (we hate it when the cheap "one sided" Velcro chin straps lose their "oomph" too).

These head guards are one of our most popular styles for good reason. Since they are "kids' sizes", plan on them being roughly one full size smaller than the size charts.
