Excellent! Mar 05, 2011
By Alex Soft foam from bottom of knuckle all the way to nearly the wrist, good for backfists. Super comfortable compared to other sparring mits. Good price, excellent glove!!! Recommended

Surprising indeed! Mar 26, 2009
By David in SC I was looking for an affordable and cross functional glove that could be used for point sparring and also grappling, MMA type training.
This glove delivered very well. Some of the MMA type gloves are a little to hard for point sparring applications but this glove is just right. Not to firm and not to soft, perfect for training.
These gloves are super light weight also. Overall this glove delivered surprisingly well for the low price...in my opinion, a great value.
Not as good as their focus mitts Dec 10, 2010
By D. Williams I purchased these gloves along with a pair of their focus mitts. I am very happy with the focus mitts, they are well made and handle anything that I throw (or kick) at them. HOWEVER, the gloves (or what they call sparring mitts) don't have the same quality as the focus mitts. Within one week of using them...they already have lots of stitches and threads coming out.
A year of use, no problems good quality. Dec 05, 2009
By M. H. Little Good Value and very decent product. I've owned these for about a year and while I only use them on a striking dummy I have had an overall good experience.
Best practice for first time buyers is to try gloves on at a sports store to get your size right, then buy online where the prices are better.
Also: Piranha Gear is a great seller with good customer service.
Go lightly - Cobra Sparring Mitts Nov 15, 2009
By M. Damsell Gloves arrived promptly from seller so no problems there. Mitts are low quality in terms of fit and materials. Made from the cheapest PU so already starting to tear away from binding around the thumb seam ( after 2 sparring sessions ) and when fist is closed they ride up and leave the knuckles exposed. In all fairness they aren't poor value for the price, look as they do in the picture, and fit securely around the wrist. Apart from that you may as well strap teabags around your fingers and hope for the best. Not good for sparring unless you are not concerned about damaging your sparring partner.
