Reverse Blade Katana Burgundy

This sword measures 41 inches in overall length, with a 27 inch blade made of 440 Stainless Steel, and an 11 1/2 inch burgundy nylon cord wrapped handle. Includes free display stand! The tsuba (guard) is a simple black cast metal ring design. The saya (scabbard) is finished with a flat burgundy lacquer and made of wood. The sageo (wrap around scabbard) is a solid burgundy nylon cord. This is a reverse blade sword, meaning the edge of the blade is along what is traditionally the back side of the blade. The purpose of such a design is one in which one has sworn to no longer take a life but must still defend their own life.
