The only possible issue with these pants is that they seem to run a little short, so if you like to have them reach all the way to the floor you may have to order them big. I like my gi pants short so this isn't an issue for me. They didn't shrink noticeably on me when I washed them on cold. The draw string setup is the best of any pants that I have ever owned. The fabric is heavy but it was comfortable enough for me to run a couple miles in without noticing it.

I bought these Gi pants for my Kali training. It has great fit and tightly woven material. It gives good legroom for kicks, and does not cling to the legs even though I get sweat. I'm going to order a few more of these. In addition did I find it a nice touch with a personal message from the person who handled the packing.

I've broken in these gi pants and have washed them a few times before I reviewed. Overall quality is great. I wanted another color option other than white. The reinforced knees are excellent and go all the way down which works out when I'm rolling. When going with the traditional drawstring I always tend to go with height vs weight. I'm 5'7 but I'm only 125lbs and if I'd gone with weight it would've been too short for me. Piranha is wonderful with customer service and wants to know how they can improve on a product or for sizing which shows how adamant they are about taking care of you. I've bought 2 gi pants and just ordered a new top and belt. I still get handwritten thank you's on my invoice no matter what product I buy. If you're hesitating about buying, don't! This is the only place I'll be buying any of my BJJ gear.

These Gi Pants are are made in the traditional way, very heavy, just the way I like them.
I am about 5ft-9inches tall, 230lbs and the size 5 fitted perfectly. Since they are made
in the traditional style they would fit a thinner person just as well.
Gi pants should be baggy in the legs and thighs to allow for movement and stretching and
these do just that. The color is a DEEP black, unlike many competitors of this company whose
blacks are almost faded so I really like the color.
The only reason that I did not rate them 5 stars is the name patch on the front of the pants.
I understand the company wants to be noticed, but I am not into advertising for anyone and
that is the reason I will not usually wear designer clothing with the advertisement (logos)
on them, but I did see the photo before I purchased and knew the logo was there so everything
is okay, just wish they were available without.

I am 65 and have had several karate and judo uniforms. First I bought a pair of heavy weight karate pants size 5 from Piranha Gear by way of Amazon , they seemed fairly wide but worked alright. A week or so later I ordered a heavy weight karate uniform and a double weave judo uniform. This time I called and talked to a lady at Piranha Gear who was most helpful about the fitting. I gave her my measurements and she thought size 4 would be the best . She was correct and both uniforms fit great. Piranha gear has some of the most rugged and best fitting uniforms I have seen or used. It would have been better if I had called and talked to them when I ordered the size 5 pants. Piranha Gear has a good policy about exchanging but I did'nt to do it. Overall I'm a very satisfied customer and I'll order again.
