A must-have for a ninja in training. Sep 16, 2010
By Charles Pergament First and foremost, I did not buy this item from Amazon. I actually bought it from BudK. Kinda wish I saw it on here first, 'cause its about 20 dollars cheaper. Oh well, my blunder. Anywho, ASSUMING both Amazon and BudK are selling the same item, I have to say this is a pretty nifty weapon. The blade arrived already sharpened, which baffled me because normally just the tips are sharp unless you buy a katana or ninjato for $500 or more. The throwing knives are pointy to say the least and will stick into whatever you throw them at. The shuriken are not sharp. Contrary to popular belief, shuriken were not primarily intended as a killing weapon, but rather as a secondary weapon that sometimes played a role supportive to a ninja's main weapon, usually the sword or spear. Shuriken were primarily used to cause either nuisance or distraction. (ex. Targets were primarily the eyes, face, hands, or the feet, the areas most exposed by a samurai's armor. The shuriken would sometimes be thrown in a way that cuts the opponent and become lost, later causing the opponent to believe that they were cut by an invisible swordsman). The weight of the ninjato is nicely balanced. Its light enough that even my wife can use it properly and durable enough to be put through rigorous tests. In short, if you got 50 bones you wanna spend on a sword, I highly suggest this piece.

Damaged twice! Jul 05, 2011
By MegCrw I ordered one set, and it had a dent in the scabbard. The seller wouldn't do anything about it, and said to contact Amazon, which said they couldn't exchange, only refund.
I ordered another set with the intention of sending the other back for a refund. When the other one came in, it was all scratched up and the paint was chipped.
Also, one of them was not sharpened at all, it was completely dull. I did not untie the other to see if it was sharpened or not.
Do not buy unless you actually like damaged goods.
good..could be better Jun 08, 2011
By rogue144 It came sharp so it was good off the start, but the stars and other throwing accessories, came dull. also the blade gets caught on the bottom of the sheath when putting the blade up. after a couple days of use the blade became rattly. i would recomend a hanwei, or cold steel ninjato. their products last. although it is a nice blade, it could be alot better.
Excellent Ninja Sword. Exceptional quality and very innovative. Apr 21, 2011
By PaulSheldon This is a wonderful Ninja Sword, and for the price I purchased it at ($50), it is more then worth the money. The sword comes with the Sword, Scabbard, 2 Shurikens, 2 knives, blade tip for spear, and another piece (Not sure what it's called). The Sword is very high quality, and each piece you'll find it either hidden in the scabbard or around it. It's a very innovative and practical weapon, and I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in swords.

This sword is awesome May 10, 2010
By S. Burris This sword is really nice. It is worth the price that you pay. When i first opened it i had trouble taking the sword out but now after a few uses it opens easier, the throwing knifes are sharp enough to stick into wood but the stars are kinda dull, the spear part is very shap too, the sword is so nice it can do a lot of damage! So this is the sword to buy
