Great gi's and an awesome price Jan 06, 2010
I bought two of these lightweight gi's for hapkido practice. Shrinkage was not bad after the first washing. they run a size smaller which was indicated on their sizing chart but they did not have any 8 sizes available. they were right, an 8 would be perfect. the gi still fits well. I am only 6'0" so I had to hem the gi's but it
was not a problem. after the first washing the gi felt noticably softer and do not dig into the skin like another brand I bought a while back. the draw string is heavy duty so throwing and landings are not a
problem. the other review mentioned the knee padding. I think the padding is good. anymore padding would make the knees too stiff I think. the customer service with this company is excellent. I called the day I recieved them because I had some questions and they answered my questions easily and even asked specifically if I was satisfied with the pants. I also got a letter, care instructions, and a personalized note about the pants and a phone number for their customer service center if I had questions or cocerns. I have never bought anything fro
this company before but I will in the future. my past experiences with a couple of other suppliers was not nearly as good. great job!

I got this pants for my husband as one of his Christmas presents and he loves them. He says they are the best one he has. He has one of those that cost a lot and are very heavy.. you might know those.. anyways.. i'm buying some more for him...

As in another review, these are a nice lightweight gi pant. The stiching is well done, shrinkage in the leg is most pronounced, but ended up perfect for my height (5'11"), shrinkage in the waist is a minimum. The drawstring is great and helps keep pants from being pulled down during grappling exersises. These Gi pants are great and lightweight and much better that the Gi pants that come with normal Judo/ Jiu-Jitsu Gi's. The padding in the knee area really helps, my only complaint would be that they could put a little more padding in the knees for my taste, however, these are standard padded knees. Guess I've just hit the ground hard a few too many times. You really cannot beat these Gi pants for the price and I would even say that you might want to buy two. Shipping charges were a little high for the weight, but would be worth while if you were to purchase two.

These are a nice lightweight gi pant. The stiching is real durable and shrinkage is not to bad. The drawstring is a nice and heavy, and does an excellent job. These are perfect if you practice in a really hot climate. You really cannot beat these for the price.. And Pirahna's customer service is by far one of the best I have seen. Don't be afraid of the price this is good equipment.
