excellent, accurate Halo decoration Jul 07, 2011
By Liandri When I ordered the energy sword I thought it would be a decent buy. I did read, however, some reviews that got me a little worried. The package it came in was pretty sturdy and looked (and felt) secure; it even had a 2x layer (i assume for extra protection)and inside it had some sticks of Styrofoam with wooden planks (also for protection). The blades are in fact steel painted a luminous titanium/rainbow color on both sides. The sword doesn't look exactly like it does in the picture, so do not be surprised if it doesn't look silverish. Also the handle is black plastic, but its not hollow: its good quality plastic. It's a nice show piece, so it can't be swung around like a real sword, as it's pretty fragile. The wall mount for it was dented in many places, but the sword itself had no dents or scratches. The only unpleasant factor about it is that one of the blades is slightly bent. Overall, it's a great item. I'll take a star off for the bent blades and slightly damaged wall mount, but other than that I thought it was in stellar condition. Again, this is no toy; it's just Halo decor. The package arrived on the first day of the estimated range. I bought this item from Toynk Toys (ironic because I just said it wasn't supposed to be a toy).

Could have been better. Sep 17, 2010
By Dylan I saw the reviews and thought it was going to be a disaster. (I ordered it before reading the reviews.) I suppose it alright, I know it's just decoration. Nothing to play with. However, the box it came in looked like a train wreck, the sword was uneven and bent, and it even had a little rust on the side!
I don't recommend buying this particular item. However I also ordered a Cobra Dagger form Top Swords (The company who made this sword) it came in, and it was in pretty good quality. All I'm saying is, watch what you order from these guys.
Again, this sword isn't to play with people!!! There's a reason it comes with a plaque!!!

Pissed! But just in time for christmas! Dec 24, 2011
By Jo Anne Stassen I should of read the reviews...
I bought as priced, plus $25 for shipping.
there's a few things that went right with this transaction.
I got the sword, it's not broken and I allow as much time as it needs for a package to get here in december.
but that's all.
When I got to SEE this package is when this went wrong. this is a poorly packaged sword. I figured that the sword is broken, Should not have to feel like this when I get a package... EVER!!!!
(Note for future readers: USPS mailmen have been caught around this time tossing fragile packages and handling them carelessly...)
Thankfully, the sword was undamaged but I kid you not, the only thing protecting this sword was a piece of styrofoam with a board taped to it, thin styrofoam and plastic wrapped around the blade and plastic covers for the ends of the blades (so as not to stab the box).
THAT'S IT! I buy LAYTEX WEAPONS (larp swords) from places that are by far MORE SECURE AND PROFESSIONAL then this! A PLASTIC SWORD compared to a REAL SWORD! (kinda feel robbed of $25)
What about the sword in general?? I'm not sure how this sword is supposed to be, but the end of this sword is depressingly flimsy. I can make it walk. The handle is light gray, not black like in the photo. it looks like a toy handle. This is a CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY BOYFRIEND!!! this is the big gift that goes with the stocking stuffers. I'm embarressed to give this to him! It's so bad, it needs to come with an appology card. I feel like I need to buy him something else to make up for this one! I'm more horrified by the way it was packaged though.
Seller I hope you heed my words... I'm never buying from you again, you just lost a customer. Even if you sold that sword for a $1 and if it wasn't so lucky (meaning, if that sword had been broken on the way here) it is worthless... not because it was cheap. It's a present to a loved one. I shop for sentimental value. think about that next time you sell a sword. p.s don't be suprised if he doesn't like this and I send it back to you.
Thank you for reading and merry christmas~

Ornamental Junk Sep 30, 2008

The handle is the cheap plastic expected, but it is a lighter gray than shown making it toyish. The blades are not sharpened. The colors do not shift around imo, more like a fancy paint job. The same areas of the blade will be yellow or pink or whatever, they do not move around the blade.
Painting the handle black would do wonders, but this is nothing but overpriced ornamental junk.
