Everlast Boxing Workout-beginner DVD May 16, 2009 You know those workout videos that proudly proclaim to you that your physical fitness will be "taken to the next level" with the simple purchase of their product? Well, I don't think I heard any such talk in this DVD, but that's exactly what this video can do for you if you're willing to learn. I do these boxing workouts mainly for fitness purposes and boy-howdy-hum-dinger, does this ever deliver in the arena of great instruction on proper form and all the basic fundamentals for the beginner like myself. Olajide goes over stance (which I was in need of a good one!), punching technique, shadowing, jumping rope, hand wrap (he shows only one way; I use another way that works best for me), stretching, medicine ball, and a lot of other good work. This is a great DVD for the price and I'd recommend it to anyone who's maybe a bit bored with their current workout plan and looking for a change. Personally, I can't wait till I feel I'm ready for the advanced DVD in this series. Awesome DVD.

If you want to do it right! Sep 07, 2008 Wow! I love this series. I have both DVD's beginner and advanced. If you are an at home excersizer and kickboxing is your thing this is a MUST for you. Boxing done right. Michael goes through EVERYTHING you need to know from hand wrapping, stance, and form. He shows you how to be the trainer and the trainee. It was like the light went off in my head. I own a lot of kickboxing DVD's. I usually pop them in and just go. I think that this series is SO important because it breaks down everything that you need to know in order for you to get a more effective workout. I was able to apply everything I learned from this series to my other kickboxing DVD's and it helped me to workout much more efficiently. I mean this guy REALLY knows what he's talking about. He's clear and to the point. The beginner DVD really has a lot of instruction more so than it does have a work out BUT it shows you how to hit a heavy bag, and how to train with a trainer a lot of information. On a last note the film production is nice. Michael narrates the who series instead of the usual talking while working out. I normally don't like that with more workout DVD's but it works with this series. I can't say enough about how great this series is. I have nothing negative to say about it. Invest in your equipment and start hitting.
