Good spinning but way too weak Apr 15, 2010
By Markus I got this and it was super light, spun well, but after a few spins, it just snapped! What's with that!? I hadn't even been doing anything rough with it, just regular twirls (no striking or anything) and it broke? come on! that's not right...I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Cheaply made Sep 03, 2011
By J. Wong Super light Bo. Almost too light, and feels very cheaply made like it is made of balsawood. After a few uses the black tape that holds down the silver metallic began to unravel. The screw on portion kept coming unscrewed during forms. I had to put a piece of tape around the joint after I screwed it together to keep it from coming undone. The screw itself is fairly short and unstable. I have seen other Bo's break at the screw portion when people are doing forms and the screw gets loose. I had this BO for 2 weeks, Spent about $60 and it broke on the grip area doing regular forms. I never hit a thing with the bo. I thought If I ever broke it, it would be at the joint, but this break was in the shaft. Don't waste your money.
Elite bo staff works great for demos Aug 27, 2011
By A. Hinton The students at our martial arts studio were all given this Elite bo staff when they joined the demo team. This particular bo was chosen because it's light, easy to use, and looks good when twirled in a demo routine. An added plus is that it unscrews into two pieces, so you can store it in a gear bag. That's really a huge plus, especially with young students. So as long as you don't spar with it or use it as a bat, this bo works really well.
