Vol. 1- Techniques of Kotegaeshi (Reverse Hand) - Shuyokan Ryu is a martial art teaching system made up of techniques taken from the traditional martial arts of Yoshinkan Aikido, Kodokan Judo and Jujitsu, and Shotokan Karate Jutsu. Shuyokan Ryu stresses, "self defense", not fighting. The founder and headmaster, Soke David Dye, has taken these techniques and put them into a practical form of martial art based on his 34 years as a police officer in California and his martial arts training and teaching since 1962. His self-defense system is better known as the "Samurai Cops System of Self-Defense". This Aikido series is a three volume set covering the complete style of Shuyokan Ryu Aikido.

Easy to follow demonstration Oct 19, 2008

I haven't gone through the whole DVD yet, but from the instruction, I must say it's easy to follow for a beginner like me. There are different, GOOD, angle shots that makes this really easy to learn, unlike many other instructional videos. He starts from beginning on how to fall, how to hold the hand to higher level. I don't see second or third DVD anywhere yet. I hope to find them in the future.
Disclaimer: I know little bit of judo, so falling is rather no problem for me. you just need to practice falling on the mat somewhere to feel comfortable in any martial arts training.
