Excellent mouthguard for cardio intensive activities Mar 10, 2009
By CB
I bought this mouth guard for boxing and for sleeping at night (prevent snoring). Works great for both. For boxing, can breath as well as possible without having my mouth hanging open. For snoring, so far, so good according to wife. The product itself it very well presented and documented (i.e. how to fit, etc.)

I love it, very easy to breathe through! Jun 16, 2010
By J. DelPrete The main reason I bought this was for Krav Maga (MMA) training. I first had a regular mouth piece and was getting so winded that I couldn't keep up because the piece itself got in the way of trying to breathe. I searched all over and found this unit to be a good fit. Sizing it was very easy just using a razor blade to cut it to length per the instructions and fitting it warm after soaking in hot water. It's a bit bulky in my mouth when training but that takes just a bit to get use to and I can breathe through it very easily!
MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THE HARD PLASTIC MOUTH INSERT IN WHEN FITTING THE MOUTH PIECE OTHERWISE YOU RISK SQUASHING AND CLOSING THE BREATHING HOLE.

Very Comfortable Sep 09, 2009
By O. Oneill This is a great Mouth guard, easy to mold and fit.
Do your research before purchasing a mouth guard. It should not only protect your grill but your jaw as well.
The Brain-Pad+Plus does it.

Hard time with it Jul 08, 2011
By Juan Valdes I use mouth pieces for BJJ and mauy thai****
So I owned and Everlast double mouth piece and was looking for something more comfortable (sore jaw after use of old mouth piece)after reading all the great reviews for the brain pad I decided to buy it even though its a little pricy for a mouth piece. When it first arrived I was very optimistic and immediately went through the instructions step by step heeding every detail. The first time I molded it, the sides started collapsing inwards even though I put it in the water for like 2 or 3 seconds less then recommended, and YES I followed the instructions for the right model. After playing with it and trying to fix it for 40 minutes I thought I had finally got the perfect mold.
So I tried it out the next day while sparing in JJ and It just wouldn't stay in place. Not in the sense that it would fall off, but rather in that it would slightly shift to left as I bit down. It was annoying because i would have to re position it every couple of minutes and if I breathed in too hard or tried to close my mouth I would have an immediate gag reflex which was incredibly uncomfortable. This mouth piece is HUGE and you will have a very hard time trying to close your mouth with it on. Also be cautious because saliva easily drips from the breathing holes if you face downwards and it is really embarrassing.
Over all I give it 2 stars because it failed to meet most of my expectations but the one plus i did notice was that it completely covers both bottom and upper teeth and shipping was good.
I would recommended by my experience that you avoid this mouth piece as your first mouth guard but maybe a person more experienced with perfectly molding mouth guards would benefit from it.
For now I'm sticking with my everlast mouth piece and it isn't so uncomfortable now that I had a bad experience with the brain pad.
Also 5 stars for amazon for taking it back and refunding it.

Nice mouthguard Jan 02, 2009
By Laurie T. Marx Bought this mouthgaurd after a lot of research on the net for my son who is a high school varsity wrestler and has braces. It is hard to find a good mouthgaurd that does both upper and lower teeth. My son likes the air holes in the middle it makes it easier to use and breath.
I would recommend this mouthgaurd to any one who needs one for braces.
The instructions on how to boil it were easy to follow.
