Unfortunately, the bo staff that we purchased was cracked shortly after purchase. Normal use by 18 year old son learning to use the bo staff. Certainly not the best product on the marked.

I got this bo back in 2010 and used it every single day. Let me just say it is a great bo the tapering was perfect and finished in a smooth tone. I also thought the weight was perfect. I never used it for competitions but for freestyle use. It chipped easily if it hits hard objects. Unfortunately, It snapped because it hit it on the ground. The bo is probably great for competions but not the best for freestyle maybe upgrade to a XMA bo. It got about a years use and all 365 days and definitely worth 20 dollars.
